Derek Young & Co was established in 1960 and today we continue to build on our enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to our business and personal clients alike.

As well as general accountancy, audit and tax skills, our 4 partners & numerous members of staff also have individual specialist skills which enable us to provide clients with a first class service as and when required. With our wealth of experience we pride ourselves on delivering an unparalleled service to all clients, whatever their size or sector.

In its 5 decades, Derek Young & Co has grown into the largest Redditch-based firm of accountants.  This has been achieved with very little marketing; almost all of our new business is generated through recommendations from our existing, thoroughly happy clients.  

In addition, our team have always found Derek Young & Co to be a very friendly and rewarding place to work, and as a result our staff turnover is very low.  On average Derek Young & Co staff have been with us for over a decade which means our clients are able to deal with familiar members of our team each year and this greatly improves efficiency.

Derek Young & Co has always embraced new technology in order to further enhance efficiency and hence to provide the most cost-effective service possible.  For example, Derek Young & Co were one of the first firms in the country to utilise ‘accounts production’ software in the late 1970s.  Many firms have only adopted such techniques in the past few years; others have yet to dispense with their typewriters.
